New Beer Thursday: Lil’ Longhorn Cold IPA
Lil’ Longhorn is a hoppy cold beer collaboration with our friends at Hold Out Brewing in Austin, TX. To us, Cold IPA just means lager brewed like it’s an IPA. We hopped it heavily on the hot side, fermented it cold, dry-hopped it warm, and lagered it cold. There’s some hand-selected Citra and Strata in there, but the real star of this show is Hopsteiner Experimental 17701, a brand new hop that smells like sour pineapple candy and brings a novel and very exciting flavor profile along with it. This beer is a hot-weather crusher for your favorite hop head.
Available only on tap from the taproom.
