Eternal Shrug

A Very Metal Black IPA

Look, sometimes you just have to toss away your pretensions and admit that the classics are classic for a reason. We’re celebrating the Golden Age of Craft Beer this October, and Eternal Shrug Black IPA is the beer concept that took us down this Very Metal road. Black IPAs are a footnote these days, but the truth is if you can appropriately balance the malt and hops, they, like, totally shred. We think it’s well past time to resurrect this style, and not just because The Undead are Very Metal.

Eternal Shrug is a vehicle for our mutual descent into the gaping maw of existence. It’s a Black IPA hopped with Oregon Chinook, Columbus Cryo, and Amarillo hops. Brutal levels of pine, resin, citrus pith, and dankness surf atop punishing waves of black malt character. It’s Very Metal, we swear.

Tasting Notes

Piney, resinous, dank, citrus rinds, almost lightly minty, light roast, malt heft
