This is a a variation on our classic Black Lager (aka Schwarzbier), this time brewed with smoked sweet potatoes and pumpkin puree in the mash, courtesy of MN BBQ. It’s a collaboration with Little Thistle Brewing that we’re unofficially calling our Unspiced Gourd Beer.
Dark but not heavy, toasty, slight roast, crisp lager finish, grassy hop aroma and assertive bitterness. Light campfire smoke notes, no real pumpkin flavor.
